Authenticating  Hungarian Art

 Today’s global art market is a billion-dollar international business, next only in its illegal value to the illicit global market of drug trafficking and money laundering.

 A prolific part of the art business is the trade in Hungarian art, with both historic Hungarian artists and modern Hungarian artists being faked in numbers.

Fake signature addition is a favourite ploy of unscrupulous dealers, both selling art privately, but also consigning paintings to the European auction trade and of course, internet sale platforms. So it is better to be safe than sorry.

 Freemanart offer confidential, expert authentication and provenance investigation services to clients around the world.

Before you begin a Full Scale Hungarian Art Authentication Investigation Project.

Mielőtt megkezdené a teljes körű magyar művészeti hitelesítési projektet.

 Authentication is not about guesswork and certainly nothing to do with wishful opinion. It is a real and demanding world in which we live. One where there is no room for unsupported conjecture, wishful hypothesis and opinion alone. It surely will be challenged.

It is however, all about reality, getting down to the truth and securing solid supportive evidence and proof.

 So before you get into the authentication procedures minefield which can evolve with art legitimacy enquiries, one which may be both financially and emotionally taxing, it is more than wise to be realistic about the issue.
Start with an independent and more importantly, unbiased 'preliminary assessment' conducted first, measuring and balancing the viability of the work of art.

A pre authentication assessment is a professional study which is based on the realities. Balancing the viability of your work of art against its background and it makes an judgement of the possibilities. One based on our vast past experience that the case may be realistically followed through and eventually possibly be proven.

The advice you get will be invaluable and based upon the simple question;

Is there any substance in the notion that possibly this work of art could be authentic?  And Can we diminish the risks involved and finally, do we have any serious or realistic chance of achieving our objective?

If any form of success in a project is not achievable, surely it would be sensible to know right from the start?

Such advisory, based on an unbiased assessment, then allows the client to make a wiser and more considered decision and apply a greater degree of sensibility in taking the leap into a staged, fully launched art authentication investigation.

It makes a great deal of sense.

See our FAQ's for details of the process, or CONTACT US us privately for our help and advice.
