The world recognizes only too well, the identities of the greatest artists amongst the Impressionist movement, as well as they know the Expressionists and other Modern art impresarios. Artists of both the two dimensional and three dimensional genres. But the ever growing list of artists who are lesser mortals is quite extensive, in a worldwide art collector market that values their works of art into the hundreds and hundreds of thousands and then above that, into the millions of dollars too. The list that follows below are just some of the names of which questions of authenticity and legitimacy have been asked in modern times. Some sadly more regularly than others and questions asked justifiably so, particularly in a world where art fraud and forgery at all levels is rife.
