Investigating the Authenticity & Attribution of Paintings believed to be by

GEORGES BRAQUE

1882-1963

  Born in Argenteuil, France in 1882, Georges Braque was inspired by Cezanne but is probably most well known for being the founder of Cubism alongside his artist friend Pablo Picasso.

 Picasso and Braque collaborated closely together from 1911 onwards. But in addition to the invention of Cubism, Braque also focussed on other forms of art, including paintings which touched on impressionism, fauvism and he even made collages, becoming the creator of the papier collé (or pasted paper) technique, bringing together a unique series using bold colours and distinctive shapes and using unusual medium such as sand and sawdust in his paintings.

 During the wartime period, his work would change again and become sombre, reflecting what the world was going through. Later he would move away from this style yet again, this time, representing lighter times.However he never strayed too far away from Cubism.

 It is rare to see legitimate, fully fledged Braque or Braque-esque works appear suddenly today, as Braque's paintings are very well recorded, however it would seem that the famous name appears on many illegitimate drawings, sketches and works of type, created by anonymous artists.  His early paintings, style and subjects are easily emulated by the unscrupulous and proportional parts of his paintings copied as drawings or wash sketches, ready to be passed off as 'original studies' for a more major work.

 Prosecution:  Investigating alleged art fraud and forgery and assisting and advising those who are , or may be considering litigating or prosecuting the fact. This includes legal professionals and private clients.

 Attention:  Conducting all fine art related due diligence and duty of care inquiries. Including safe prepurchase or sale related audits and assisting clients in consolidating a well balanced future family distribution.

 Before you begin any art authenticity, legitimacy, or artist attribution investigation, it is more than wise to have an impartial preliminary assessment of the viability of the project conducted first. One made to independently and rationally balance any negative issues there may be against the positive. Treat it as your safety net.
